SUICIDE KINGS

Year: 1997
Country: United States
Run Time: 106 minutes

Christopher Walken and Denis Leary star in SUICIDE KINGS, a stylish and darkly hilarious film that takes us into a labyrinth of double crosses and deceptions, an ever-shifting game of cat and mouse that grows increasingly violent. Charles Barrett, king of the New York crime bosses and possibly the most feared man on the planet, goes out to dinner one night and ends up getting kidnapped. He is driven to a Long Island summer house, and awakes from a drug-induced stupor, bound to a chair. He is not amused. A quartet of young men - Avery, Max, Brett, and T.K. - are co-conspirators of this brazen deed. Naturally, Charles wants to know why. It seems that Lisa, who is Avery's sister and Max's girlfriend, has also been kidnapped, and is being held for $2 million ransom. Charles can either pay the ransom, or he can use his underworld connections to find Lisa. If not, he will share Lisa's eventual fate. SUICIDE KINGS is a film full of unpredictable twists and turns, an ingenious and suspenseful thriller full of surprises. O'Fallon has made one of the most promising and entertaining debuts of the year.
