old Zoran is in the throes of his first crush on Jasna, a war orphan. When he discovers that she is going on the "Children's Walk through Tito's Native Country," he feverishly works on a school essay to win a spot on the trip. He wins, but his reward starts to turn sour almost as soon as the trip begins. Jasna's attention is focused on another boy, the exercise is more than his chubby body is cut out for, and a skin irritation between his legs rapidly worsens. Their group leader, a fanatic adherent of Tito and his socialist society, confirms Zoran's skepticism of everyone over the age of 12.
